Drawing and Painting A wide variety of drawing and painting materials are used in this course, including charcoal, graphite, pastels, watercolor, and acrylic paints. Drawings from observation and photographic reference, as well as imaginative and expressive works of art have been created by these groups of students.

SculptureSculpture provides the opportunity for students to explore multiple sculptural media and pottery while using a variety of techniques. This course encourages students to apply multiple problem-solving and creative thinking strategies and emphasizes the artistic process just as much as the final product. Art History as well as Contemporary Art play key roles as inspiration for projects.

Introduction to Visual ArtIntro. to Visual Art is an introductory art course designed for students who wish to improve their drawing skills. Students learn the elements and principles of art and explore how to successfully apply them to their own art-making. They are able to experiment with a variety of media including graphite, pastels, acrylic paint, and mixed media.

Digital Arts & Modeling in 3DDigital Arts is an introduction to the computer graphics software most commonly used by graphics professionals. Students use the computer as a tool for artistic expression and for study of the principles of design.
Modeling in 3D introduces students to a computer program known as SketchUp. Students explore the different tools to create geometric models and renderings such as buildings and interior design objects. This course allows students to create and display digitally designed three-dimensional environments. |
